Magic Touch, a leading commercial cleaning company based in Lee’ s Summit, is on the forefront of green cleaning. The only cleaning company of its kind in the Midwest, Magic Touch performs all cleaning with green processes, using only products that are eco-friendly and safe for its associates as well as those of its clients.

In 1993, Trish and Gary Walker founded GT Enterprises, which is the holding company for Magic Touch Cleaning and its affiliates. Today, Magic Touch boasts more than 161 accounts throughout the Midwest with $3.2 million revenues in 2006.

Magic Touch Cleaning’s success is thanks in part to long-term partnerships. In fact, Magic Touch has had many of its customers for ten to fifteen years, which is almost unheard of in the cleaning business. Clients include 61 banks in the Kansas City area, medical facilities, eye surgery centers, car dealerships, and a live out-of-doors theatre.

Over the past few years, Trish and Gary’s number one priority has been investing in the business to make the shift to cleaning with only environmentally friendly products, without increasing the cost to customers.

“We take our commitment to the environment very seriously,” Trish says. “We truly believe that cleaning green is an important step that we can take to improve the environment for our associates and our clients’ office spaces, as well as make a difference the world we live in.”

In 2007, Trish and Gary will launch several green clean initiatives:

•		On June 1, Return to Green — the Midwest’s first and only green cleaning retail store — will open its doors in Lee’ s Summit. Return to Green will carry all natural, green cleaning solutions to help homeowners rid themselves of toxic chemical cleaners.

•		Return to Green is the only distributor in the Midwest for Greening the Cleaning® a new line of eco-friendly products from Deirdre Imus.

•		The Walkers will also roll out the Environmental Cleaning Institute that will educate and train other commercial cleaners on how to build a successful business centered around cleaning green.
